Swaledale Woollens was founded in Muker, North Yorkshire over 30 years ago by villagers reviving the old cottage industry of knitting. Swaledale Woollens is now owned and run by Kathleen Hird who carries on using local Swaledale and Wensleydale wool for the knitted garments.
